Spring is finally here which doesn’t only bring more sunlight, warmth, and blooming flowers, but it also brings a whole new season to dress for. It’s time to put those puffers away and replace them with trench coats, denim jackets, and stylish blazers.
Spring is my favorite season in general and style-wise as well with so many options for layering, and mix-and-matching clothes for the constantly changing temperature.
Whether you’re in the process of building a spring capsule wardrobe or just looking for outfit inspiration to wear next week, you’re going to find plenty of cool looks to copy this spring in this post. They’re mostly based on basics and timeless, everyday pieces you probably already have in your closet, but I added some trends as well just to keep things fresh.
Here are 31 outfits for spring so you’ll never have to worry about what to wear next!

1. Business Biker
The biker short trend has been around for a few years already, but it’s going to hit its peak in 2021. And honestly, I’m going to continue wearing them way beyond that. If you own one, you know what I’m talking about, they are the comfiest thing to wear in warm weather.
Style tip: biker shorts are the most stylish paired with a crop top and an oversized blazer.
2. Badass Blogger
Edgy never goes out of style. A trench coat that looks somewhat different and less polished might just do the trick.
Style tip: if you want to take it even further, add a pair of moto boots, and a black beanie!
3. Denim On Denim
Whether we like it or not, the early 2000s fashion is back. And with it, the famous denim on denim aka “The Canadian Tuxedo” look is also getting some traction.
Style tip: keep the hues of the top and bottom similar (or the same) and feel free to experiment with different types of bottoms and tops.
4. The Carrie Bradshaw
Another iconic look of the early 2000s is Carrie Bradshaw’s shirt dress outfit from Sex And The City. It’s such an effortlessly cool look, and it’s easy to put together.
Style tip: wear short running shorts under the shirt for some invisible protection.
5. Rented Dresses
We love dresses of all kinds so why settle for only a few. Instead of buying, try renting next time! Dress rental isn’t only for special occasions anymore, it’s a sustainable and budget-friendly way of keeping your style up to date.
Try Nuuly, our favorite clothing rental service!
6. Greens Everywhere
Greens are having such a huge moment right now. Whether it’s pastel colors, darker hues, or heck, even neon greens are in.
Style tip: when you want to add a new color to your wardrobe, start by finding your favorite basics in that color. Don’t try to add a new style of clothing in a new color, because it will feel too unusual and you aren’t going to want to wear it!
7. Millennial Pink
We don’t care if Gen Z is complaining about it, we’re going to keep our millennial pinks! They already took our skinny jeans, we won’t let them take our favorite color as well! Millennial pink is here to stay!
Style tip: if pink is already a staple color in your wardrobe, but you want to emphasize it even more, don’t be afraid of pink statement pieces!
8. Tops Over Tops
The weather is not quite there yet, but you can’t wait to show off your favorite summer top? Try layering a basic T-shirt or a white T-shirt under it! It will require some trial and error of your par, but if you master this look, the results will get you tons of compliments!
Style tip: the look is less risky if both tops are of the same color.
9. Upcycled Vintage
Vintage clothes are usually much better quality than fast fashion, but they can indeed look outdated sometimes. Since we are all bored during quarantine why learn how to upcycle our clothes? It doesn’t have to be something super complicated; it can be as easy as shortening the hem of a skirt.
Style tip: There are many upcycling videos on YouTube. Pick someone whose style you adore, and I guarantee you’ll be tempted to try out their upcycling tricks!
10. Free The Boobs
Going bra-free in the winter is so easy under all those layers of chunky sweaters. But what do you do in the spring when you have the layers have to come off? Send your boobs back to boob prison? No. You just don’t care about what other people think, and do what makes you (and your boobs) happy.
Style tip: form-fitting tops without bras might feel more daring than loose tops, but I actually find them to be more flattering. But that’s me, you do you! That’s the whole point of skipping bras, isn’t it?
11. Casually Chic
Sometimes less is more. Especially true when you want to look chic! Quality over quantity always wins the race. When you wear high-quality clothes that fit you correctly, you’ll instantly look more stylish!
Style tip: always invest in quality basics! They’ll look amazing on their own, or you can use them to tie together a more trend-focused outfit too!
12. Button Front Dresses
Button-front dresses are so popular at the moment, and they are so easy to find second-hand! Buttons add a cute visual detail to your dress, now if you can find one with small, floral patterns, it looks just like Reformation dresses.
Style tip: pair your dress with white sneakers for an effortlessly cool, on-trend look!
13. Comfy Leggings
Let’s be honest here… Most of us are still going to spend the spring of 2021 in quarantine. So it’s not a bad idea to turn to our favorite comfy essential: the leggings. You probably own one or two pairs, or even more (looking at you, comfy potatoes!). Why not try staying comfy AND looking stylish at the same time?
Style tip: challenge yourself to style your legging in as many different ways as you can!
14. Midi Skirts
Midi is the official skirt-length of 2021. So much more comfortable than minis and so much more elegant and stylish too! You don’t have to throw all your mini skirts away, they’re still cool. But give a chance to midis too this spring!
Style tip: to wear sweaters with your midi skirt, you have to master the front tuck, choose a cropped sweater, or opt for an oversized sweater for a laid-back, oversized silhouette.
15. Statement Hoop Earrings
Statement earrings are great for adding some interest to your outfit! I prefer classic styles such as gold hoops because they look amazing with many different personal styles, on many different people.
Style tip: to up-level your jewelry game even more, you can try to add a few layered necklaces too!

16. 90s Inspired
Light-wash jeans and Converse were both super hot in the 90s. And they still are! Plus, 90s trends are so easy to find second-hand and you probably already own some of them yourself. Time to dig them out from the back of your closet!
Style tip: for more 90s trends inspo you might want to consider rewatching Friends!
17. The Plant Lady
The plant lady approaches fashion the same way as she approaches plants: looking for a harmony of aesthetics and functionality, a perfect balance of style and comfort, and maybe some plant patterns mixed in with the basics to feel herself at home wherever she goes.
Style tip: adding some patterns to your wardrobe can spice things up a bit. If plants aren’t your thing, but you love clean minimalism, try geometric patterns instead!
18. Denim Co-ord
Denim co-ords are perfect for achieving that effortlessly cool look. If you own a matching denim jacket and a pair of jeans, you don’t need to worry anymore about getting ready in the morning. They are optimal for spring weather and you can easily dress them up or down for so many occasions.
Style tip: skinny jeans and oversized denim jackets look amazing together, I don’t care what Gen Z says…
19. Lilac
Lilac is the best-smelling spring flower in my opinion, and it’s also one of the best colors to wear this season. You don’t have to replace your whole closet with lilac clothes, but adding a couple of pieces here and there might completely transform your style.
Style tip: if you already wear a lot of pastel pink and other spring pastel colors, lilac is a great complementary color to go with them.
20. The Rocker
An all-black outfit, a T-shirt from your favorite classic rock band, and moto boots: the rocker look is this simple. However, not many people are able to pull it off or feel like it fits their personal style. I think adding a couple of edgy, rocker pieces are a great way to spice up your style, and these pieces have already become classics so you don’t have to worry about them going out of style.
Style tip: choose a band T-shirt whose music you actually like, it’s a great conversation starter!

21. White Minimalist
Black, gray, white, and beige are the main colors of the minimalist style. In recent years white has become more and more and more prominent and we see all-white outfits everywhere! You probably already own a white T-shirt or top, but are you ready for styling it white pants? It is one of the most simple yet luxurious-looking outfits to try this season!
Style tip: to keep your clothes crisp white, use an all-natural DIY bleach alternative!
22. Chunky Cardi
A chunky cardi is already a winter wardrobe staple, but spring is when the cardigan trend will actually shine. A chunky but breathable (organic cotton) cardigan is perfect for spring’s unpredictable weather, and it’ll keep you cozy and comfy throughout the day.
Style tip: opt for a cropped design instead of a long cardigan this spring!

23. Farmer’s Market Ready
I’m all for wearing crisp white shirts casually and dressed down! It looks effortlessly chic every single time, no matter the occasion. For this farmer’s market / running errands / catching up with friends outfit, wear your white shirt with bermuda trousers, comfy slippers, and of course, a canvas tote bag.
Style tip: to make the outfit even cooler, try a half tuck!
24. Boss Lady
The boss lady wears a shirt even when she’s working from home. Although, she might swap her work pants for a pair of jeans for a change. When she goes out, she wears shoes that are comfortable yet elegant!
Style tip: don’t button your shirts all the way up, only until the chest area to make your outfit look more casual and effortless.
25. Reformation-Inspired
Reformation clothes are so chic and trendy, don’t you agree? Unfortunately, they come with a price tag that’s not very attainable for most of us… But you can still recreate their outfits with some creativity, upcycling, and thrifting.
Style tip: there’s nothing more Reformation-like than floral midi skirts and dresses.
26. Fashion Rebel
Be a fashion rebel, and say goodbye to the strict and limiting style rules! Be unpredictable! Mix trends with classic items, wear what everybody’s wearing at the moment, but add your own spin to it! That’s what real personal style is!
Style tip: think of a fashion rule you’ve never liked and break it! It will feel amazing, and it will get you out of your comfort zone! You can thank me later…
27. Light & Comfy
During the quarantine when the number of people working from home has skyrocketed, comfort in fashion had regained its well-deserved place in the spotlight. The perfect work-from-home attire is something that’s comfy enough to make you feel at home, but just as put-together so you won’t have an urge to lounge all day long.
Style tip: a pair of high-quality, wide-leg pants makes all the difference in my opinion!
28. A Hint Of Dark Academia
Dark academia is one of the gen Z trends I can totally get behind. Its main inspiration comes from the 40s and 50s preppy school uniforms and European university lifestyle. Dark academia embraces dark, neutral colors, and high-end fabrics, and vintage clothes.
Style tip: for dark academia style inspiration watch The Queen’s Gambit!
29. Cool Girl Next Door
This is another 90s inspired outfit I love. Mixing casual clothes like jeans and Converse sneakers with pretty, feminine pieces gives a cool girl-next-door vibe. Wearing a masculine overshirt with all this completes the look by stating “I am who I am, I wear what I want, I don’t care what you think”.
Style tip: don’t be afraid of mixing feminine and masculine clothes. Very few people are 100% feminine or 100% masculine, anyways. We’re somewhere in the middle, and our personal style should reflect that!
30. Personalized Basics
How do manage to look stylish only using minimalist wardrobe basics? The trick to not looking boring on a minimalist, casual style is to add some personality to it. Basics can look very different for different people. My basics probably have different cuts, colors, patterns, and materials than yours.
Style tip: when I say invest in good basics I don’t mean spend a ton of money on boring clothes. Instead, find out what are the styles you enjoy wearing day after day and don’t be afraid to spend a little more on the quality and durability of those items.

31. Statement Trench Coats
Trench coats are staples for wardrobe spring and autumn weather. They’ve been maintaining their popularity for over 60 years so we can safely assume they won’t go out of style anytime soon. I truly believe you only need to invest in one good trench coat in your lifetime, but it should be one that fits your personal style perfectly!
